Elayne Shore writes children's books and also publishes picture books featuring some of her skills. All of her children's  books are written in the same format with a prologue and sometimes an epilogue. The prologue is mostly an introduction into the main story where a young girl named Becky asks her father to read a bedtime story. The prologue usually contains information not apparent in the main story such as what the sea serpents eat.

Her first book is called Candy Girl about a girl named Candy who finds out that sometimes you have too much of a good thing.

Her first series is called Kittens, Kittens and More Kittens about the true adventures of a cat named Trixie. 

The current series is called Sammy the Sea Serpent about some unique creatures who have some epic adventures.

Coming soon is a series of picture books about some of the characters from the Sammy series.

In addition to her children's books, she also has picture books of the designer dolls that she has created. Another picture book she just published features her original art work 

Most of the illustrations in the children's books include original art by Elayne along with some clipart and original artwork by Gary Finelli, an art teacher from New York.
